Ophelia – Sidebar
The instructions below will help you configure the sidebar blocks. The sidebar is the smaller column on the right of your posts.
Where can you edit the sidebar blocks?
Go to your WordPress dashboard > Appearance > Widgets > expand “Sidebar 1”.
I deleted a block! How can I add it back?
If you delete a block, you can use the Design Library to get it back.
But since the Design Library can’t be used in Widgets, you’ll have to do this:
- Go to Pages > Add Page (or “Add New Page”)
- Click on “Design Library” from the top of the page
- Select “Ophelia” from the options at the top
- Select “Sidebar + Footer” from the left
- Select the “Sidebar Blocks” block
- Copy the block you want to add, then go to Appearance > Widgets and paste it in the “Sidebar 1” widget area
Profile (“Ophelia Moss”)
This is the “Ophelia Moss” block at the top of the sidebar. You can replace the title & text with your own.
- Change the image: click on the image > click on “Replace” from the small menu that appears > select an image from your library or upload a new one.

Note: while the Genesis eNews Extended plugin is used for the forms, the Genesis theme is not required so you don’t need to have it installed.

This is a simple section with an image and two text blocks (for the book title + author name).
- Change the image: click on the image > click on “Replace” from the small menu that appears > select an image from your library or upload a new one.
Posts block (“Let’s find your next read!”)
The Posts block displays your latest posts by default.
To display posts from one or more categories (or tags), click on the Posts block > select the “General” tab from the right column > select your preferred category/categories from the “Filter by Category” dropdown.
If you want to show posts from a specific tag/tags, then select the tags from the “Filter by Tags” dropdown. I don’t recommend using both categories and tags for one Posts block.

Categories (“explore”)

Search form
Kadence Blocks’ Search (Adv) block is used. Since it was customized, you can use the Design Library to get it back if you delete it.
