Willow – Featured Boxes

The Willow theme has 3 featured boxes sections. You can use the featured boxes to highlight your main categories or important pages on your blog.

Style #1 (from “Home – Option #1)

This section is created with the “Gallery (Adv)” block.

Change the images

Click on the block > click on the “Edit/Add gallery images” icon (the 3rd icon from right to left) from the little menu > remove, add and rearrange the images.

Add the links

Click on each image > add the link to the “Paste or type URL” field that appears.

If you want more or less than 6 images on a row

Click on the block > click on the “General” tab from the right sidebar > scroll down to “Columns” and adjust the number of columns on different screen sizes.

Style #2 (from “Home – Option #3)

This section is created with the “Image (Adv)” and “Text (Adv)” blocks.

Change the images

Click on the image > click on “Replace” > “Open Media Library” > select an image from your library or upload a new one.

Add the links

Follow the instructions below to ensure that the entire section (image and title) is linked.

  1. Click on an image
  2. Select “Section” from the bottom of the page (right before “Image (Adv)”)
  3. Click on the “General” tab from the right sidebar
  4. Expand “Overlay Link”
  5. Click on the “Edit” icon (little pen)
  6. Click on the “X” to clear the current link and add the new link
  7. Click on the “Submit” icon (little arrow) to save the changes

Adjust the number of columns

  1. Click on an image
  2. Select the second “Row Layout” from the bottom of the page
  3. Click on the “General” tab from the right sidebar
  4. Adjust the number of columns

Add more featured boxes

  1. Click on an image
  2. Select “Section” from the bottom of the page (right before “Image (Adv)”)
  3. Click on the 3 dots at the end of the little menu that shows up
  4. Click on “Duplicate”

Style #3 (from “Category Index”)

This section is created with the “Row Layout” block and the images have been added as backgrounds.

Add the links

  1. Click on the image
  2. Select the “General” tab from the right sidebar
  3. Expand “Overlay Link”
  4. Click on the “Edit” icon (little pen)
  5. Click on the “X” to clear the current link and add the new link
  6. Click on the “Submit” icon (little arrow) to save the changes

  1. Click on the title
  2. Click on the “Style” tab from the right sidebar
  3. Change Color and Background Color
